Ryedale trainer John Quinn, who had to settle for second place on Knavesmire yesterday with one of his smart sprinters, can go one better with another at Haydock tomorrow.

The Settrington handler, well pleased with the performance of Smart Predator yesterday, saddles Fantasy Believer in the Manson Insurance Group Classified Stakes and the five-year-old is napped to take the honours.

Tough and consistent, Fantasy Believer is twice a winner already this season, and his latest effort at Ascot, when runner-up to Cd Flyer, confirmed his well-being.

Darryll Holland, who was aboard Seel of Approval, conqueror of Smart Predator, is now on Quinn's side as the rider of Fantasy Believer. A bold bid is anticipated.

Holland can also play a starring role in the King's Regiment Cup Handicap on Camelot, trained by Luca Cumani.

Lightly-raced, Camelot opened his account over this course and distance last month. Open to further improvement, a follow-up looks likely.

Holland, riding at the top of his form this season, has yet another good chance of victory at the Lancashire venue aboard Celadon, who has shown enough in two starts to date to suggest he will be thereabouts in the European Breeders' Fund Maiden Stakes.

The Fairy Flag gets my vote in the latest round of the Bollinger Champagne Challenge Series for gentleman amateur riders.

Trained by Alan Bailey in Cheshire, The Fairy Flag won a similar race to this at Chester last week in the experienced hands of Simon Walker, who takes the mount again tomorrow. An encore is expected.

Kuster, winner of two of his last three starts, has good prospects of adding to his tally in the Rectangle Group Handicap.Smart apprentice Nicky Mackay takes the mount on Luca Cumani's gelding.

Over the sticks at Sedgefield, Bobanvi could prove the answer to the Northern Echo Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle.

Trained by John Wainwright, Bobanvi took an age to get off the mark, but her recent Cartmel victory was achieved by a decisive six lengths.

She may now, finally, have turned the corner and opportunity could well come knocking for her again here. Liam Vickers has the mount.

Richard Johnson, currently leading Tony McCoy in the jump jockeys championship, can add to his tally of winners aboard Dazzling Rio in the Oliver Wendels Memorial Novices' Hurdle.

Kate Milligan's gelding has run two respectable races this season and looks up to winning a modest race such as this.

In the 4.10 at Haydock tomorrow, the trainer states that No.3 Regal Setting is a doubtful runner.

Jockey Jimmy Fortune was expecting to learn today the extent of the back problem that caused him to collapse at the Curragh on Sunday. He had an MRI scan yesterday.
