STUDENT Hayley Copsey is in a battle with 99 other hopefuls in the fight to be crowned FHM magazine's High Street Honey 2003.
Hayley, a York St John College drama student, has entered the now-famous competition, which offers ordinary women the chance to win £10,000.
The winner is decided by a public vote.
Hayley was entered by boyfriend David Stuart, and hopes to use the publicity to launch an acting career if she wins.
The 20-year-old, from Huntington, York, said: "I didn't realise it was a bikini contest and when I did I didn't really want to do it, but David encouraged me to.
"It feels a bit strange, but it will be good exposure for me. The money would definitely come in handy. I hope people across York and North Yorkshire will vote for me."
David, 21, said: "She is beautiful and has a good chance of making the top ten.
"We want as many people to vote for her as possible."
Votes can be registered through FHM's website, www.fhm.com
