ALEX Hurwood and Lindi Ding are officially two of the north's sexiest spectacle wearers after a special ceremony at a York opticians.
Alex and Lindi are taking part in the Specsavers Opticians annual modelling competition, Look Of 2003.
The competition semi-final was held at Specsavers, York, yesterday.
Alex and Lindi's specs appeal beat off competition from a range of other bespectacled beauties to take the joint title Miss Sexy Specs for the north.
Alex, from Leeds, and Lindi, from Newcastle, will now go through to the glitzy grand final, to be hosted by former Blue Peter hunk Tim Vincent and judged by Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.
Deryck Watts, director of Specsavers York, said: "It was an extremely tough decision to make because the standard of entries this year was so high and all the contestants looked fabulous in their new glasses."
The lucky winner will go on to scoop prizes including a year's modelling contract and a dream trip to the Caribbean.
