A YORK mother and daughter will fight for the honour of estate agents across the country tonight when they take part in the BBC's Test The Nation 2003.
Lesley and Hazel Beattie, of Quantum Estate Agents, in Walmgate, York, will be part of the audience at the live, interactive quiz of the nation's general knowledge, hosted by Anne Robinson and Phillip Schofield.
The pair will join other estate agents from across the UK to pit their wits against intellectual giants from the world of examiners, plumbers, domestic goddesses, football supporters and cabin crew.
But it's not the first time that the pair have felt the heat in the television studio. Hazel, 28, was recently a contestant on The Weakest Link while Lesley, 48, once appeared on quiz show 3-2-1.
"We got involved through the Association of Estate Agents," said Hazel. "We had a go on the interactive test on the BBC website, but the pressure will be on when it's live. It's very exciting, though, and I'm looking forward to meeting Phillip Schofield."
Hazel and Lesley will be on Test The Nation at 7.30 tonight on BBC1.
