MORE than £300 was raised by students at Canon Lee School in aid of a former pupil who died last year.
Oliver Tarry was 15 when he died after losing his fight against Ewings Scarcome - a type of cancer.
His parents have now set up the Oliver Tarry Research Trust to raise money to research into the disease.
Children from Year Nine raised £335 for the trust with a sponsored walk which took place in July.
Two of Oliver's friends Chris Brookes and Kerry Bardy presented Oliver's father, Simon, with the cheque at a presentation held at the school.
