York Acorn Running Club's Under-13 Boys took bronze in the North of England Road Relay Championship at Sunderland.
Iain Lynn ran the first leg and finished fifth in a time of 10mins 45secs.
After a great run on the second leg by Sam Bradley (10.30), Acorn lay in second position. Peter Wise maintained second spot, having at one point dropped to fourth, - with a time of 12.18.
Kieran Smith, the Acorn team's youngest member, anchored the side to third overall with a time of 11.27.
