AS a long-serving member of the Corps Council of the Salvation Army at York, I wish to disassociate myself from the suggestion by Major Paul Westlake that we withdraw opposition regarding the opening of the sex shop in Gillygate on a Sunday.
Many of us support Peter Gales, a past city councillor, and state that as of October 4, we have had no open discussion amongst the members who worship at the citadel.
We wish to inform our friends in York that we as 'members' of the Salvation Army at York have not done a U-turn.
