A GROUP of Queen Margaret's schoolgirls proved smash hits at the Yorkshire Tennis Championships.
Sarah Batty and Georgina Bracewell, representing North Yorkshire, finished under-15 county champions at South Leeds Stadium after beating South Yorkshire (7-0), East Yorkshire (5-2) and West Yorkshire (5-2).
The under-13 title was won by Queen Margaret's Alex Herriot-Hartland and Sarah Proctor, who triumphed against West Yorkshire (4-3, 6-1) and East Yorkshire (4-3, 7-0).
Elsewhere, ten girls from Queen Margaret's have been selected to represent North Yorkshire's 'A' and 'B' lacrosse teams.
