Joseph Rowntree and Queen Margaret's School, Escrick, will represent the York area in the county round of the Under-14 National Schools' Netball Tournament in Hambleton on Saturday, November 22.
Jo Ro were convincing winners of the round-robin 'A'-team area round on their home courts, beating The Mount 6-3, Millthorpe 5-0, Huntington 12-5, Bootham 6-5, All Saints 6-3, Queen Margaret's 9-2 and drawing 6-6 with Manor. Queen Margaret's qualified as runners-up.
The winning Joseph Rowntree team was: Katherine Fowler (capt), Emily Mantle, Jenny Murdoch, Danielle Hughes, Katrina Woodcock, Sarah Corbett and Beth Sissons.
The 'B' tournament was contested by five schools and also played on a round-robin basis.
