Heworth ARL Under-9s paid the penalty for too many handling errors when losing to Stanningley.
Alex Clough (2) Billy Legg, William Barratt and Oliver Murphy scored tries. Daniel Coulson was man of the match, closely followed by Jack Cregan.
Heworth's Under-8s played their first game of the season and in a closely contested game lost by seven tries to six to Stanningley.
There were promising debut performances from Robinson Binks, Jay Hall and Louis Horwell.
One of the try-scorers, Liam Watson, was man of the match. Nathan Hammerton topped the tackle count while Baxter Hackett was the most improved player. Other tries came from James Kilmartin (3), Joseph Jackson and Peter Moss.
