MORE than £2,000 was raised at an auction of promises at Langton Primary School, near Malton.
The school's head teacher, Anne Myers, said she was ecstatic at the amount raised and thanked the parents who has organised it. Up for grabs at the event on Friday was the chance to watch Yorkshire TV quiz show Countdown being filmed in Leeds, ride in a Porsche or fly in a light plane. The money raised will go towards a refurbishment of the school library.
