IT is a wonder that the Kings Arms is not fitted with water-wings, the pub is underwater that often. So it was the perfect venue to launch the Environment Agency's latest flood awareness campaign.

The message is being conveyed on beer mats. They will act as a twin warning system. Firstly, drinkers can read them to learn top tips on defending their home from flooding. Secondly, if the mats rise off the table and start to float towards the ceiling, that means it is time to evacuate the pub again.
