IN their dealings with local residents bordering the proposed New Osbaldwick development it appears the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust is preparing to use the ultimate weapon to push through this very unpopular project - a compulsory purchase order.
A design of this scale will indeed devastate all local surrounding areas and residents are clearly saying No and objecting.
The Lib-Dem council should listen to York people and act accordingly to prevent an enormous environmental and social disaster.
