I READ with interest Michael Brooks' letter responding to David Bowe's on the benefits of the Euro (September 30).
I would like to bet that there is more chance of getting some of this £700 gain per family than there is of City of York Council taxpayers receiving the £100 council tax cash-back so generously "promised" by the Lib Dems in their election manifesto earlier this year.
