Landing Strip, who is currently flying high, is poised to complete a hat-trick of wins at Brighton tomorrow.

The James Eustace-trained gelding goes for the featured £12,000 Weatherbys Insurance Handicap over six furlongs and will again have the services of apprentice Fran Ferris, who gets on so well with him.

Ferris was on board when Landing Strip scored at Catterick in mid-summer and he was successfully re-united with the sprinter at Lingfield earlier this month when they recorded a five lengths victory.

Landing Strip, partnered again by Ferris, overcame a 6lb penalty when winning over this course and distance last week, after once more adopting front-running tactics.

Tomorrow will be another case of catch-me-if-you-can, and the chances are that Landing Strip will again show a clean pair of heels to his rivals.

Second Of May looks the one to be on in the Viacom Brand Solutions Classified Stakes over a mile.

Pat Chamings' filly scored over this course and distance three weeks ago when beating Franksalot by one and a half lengths. That was only her fourth race and further improvement is surely forthcoming. She can oblige again.

Coup de Chance is yet another previous course winner to respect in the Barclaycard Apprentice Handicap.

Paul Blockley's charge won over this distance of a mile and a half here last week and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent him from following up. Apprentice David Nolan again has the mount on the nap selection.

Also worth noting at Brighton are the promising Farriers Charm (2-20) and the once-raced Concert Hall (2-50), who shaped like a potential winner on his debut.

Over the sticks at Haydock, Sun King makes plenty of appeal in the opening Renault Traffic Van Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle.

A recent outing, which saw the gelding finish a promising third at Market Rasen, should have set up Sun King nicely for this event, in which he will have the services of the accomplished and experienced Paddy Aspell.

Middleham trainer Ferdy Murphy appears to have his horses well forward and he is fancied to land the the Renault Van Mares' Only Novices' Hurdle with Ragu.

The five-year-old made a promising return to action when finishing runner-up earlier in the month and now looks ready to strike winning form under Davy Russell.

The overnight defection of Martin Pipe's Puntal has robbed the Renault Clio Novices' Chase of considerable interest. Trainer Mark Polglase will not be disappointed, however, as the absence of Puntal leaves the way open for his Son Of A Gun to make his mark.
