WHETHER City of York Council is acting out of ignorance or because it is trying to "pull a fast one" regarding plans to develop the former Moss Street depot I do not know.
The Moss Street site is part of Micklegate Stray which, under the terms of the 1907 Act of Parliament "are for ever" to be used as open spaces of public resort and recreation for York citizens. This means the depot site should be restored to an open space.
It is certainly not a development site.
