BUSINESSES can keep up to date on rules and regulations at a seminar.
Bridlington Business Centre is hosting a free seminar on Wednesday, exploring why businesses need rules and what they should cover. The session will look at disciplinary procedures, misconduct and how to handle appraisals.
Helen Ezard, project manager in HR support, who is organising the seminar, said: "This will enlighten some of the companies and help them to work in a way that is fair and reasonable, benefiting everybody. Putting a discipline and grievance procedure in place provides clear guidelines for both employers and employees.
"Getting it right before the words 'problem' or 'dispute' are even mentioned is much more productive and cost-effective than trying to save the day when relationships have broken down."
