HAVING had the privilege to witness an outstanding performance of skill, desire and determination we would like to thank all concerned with the York City Knights RLFC for Sunday's spectacular result at Featherstone.
When the going got tough every York player on the pitch dug deeper to excel in the face of adversity.
The noisy support that the hundreds of Knights supporters created undoubtedly strengthened the resolve of our away side and acted as an extra man. The large following of away supporters were suitable rewarded as the result finally went our way with only seconds to spare.
We would like to say a 'big well done' to our team. You did both the city of York and yourselves proud.
Enjoy your day at the McAlpine stadium, you have all earned it. Come on sport fans in York do the players proud, be part of the celebrations, travel to Huddersfield and make some noise.
