TOO close to call, Heat Nine of Round One of the Fibbers/Evening Press Battle of the Bands 2004 finished as a dead heat between Datyura and The Spiral.
The Secret Panel vote went to The Spiral at Tuesday's clash this week and both bands will progress to Round Two. Lorax and En-V bade farewell at the first hurdle.
Next week, heat ten casts Rhombus into the bear pit with Sitting Still, I Am Jack and Burn. Kick-off is at 7.30pm on Tuesday, and admission is £3, first come, first satisfied.
