Selby face a 'must-win' home game against Old Crossleyans in their fight for Yorkshire One survival tomorrow.

Defeat at Sandhill Lane would leave Selby in big trouble.

Shaun Austerfield is recalled at centre in place of the unavailable Martin Bramley with Phil Raffen switching to full-back to accommodate the return of winger Mark Protheroe.

In the forwards, Mark Toye returns in the second row with Kevin Lowery preferred at No 8 with Tony Godfrey dropping down to the bench.

Paul Gabel is restored in the front row at prop after missing last week's friendly at Market Rasen. Tom Bayston benches as the front row forward substitute with Toby Pemberton the three-quarter substitute.

Harrogate will be looking to put the skids under National League Two leaders Sedgeley Park at Claro Road tomorrow.

Victory for the visitors, coupled with a defeat for Nuneaton at home to Wharfedale, will see Sedgeley promoted.

But sixth-placed Harrogate fancy their chances as some of their big guns return - notably scrum-half Rees Morgan, who has recovered from shoulder and knne injuries sustained in December, to lead the side.

Andy Boyle is back in the second row after recovering from a hamstring injury, Adam Thornton returns on the wing after six weeks away on business and Rob Wilson replaces Craig Chapman at prop.

In a case of top v bottom as Malton and Norton take on Yorkshire One neighbours Scarborough at The Gannock.

Relegated Scarborough have gained only two league points during the season while Malton have already wrapped up the championship.

Malton retain the side which triumphed over Driffield recently apart from in the front row where Ed Gwilliam is unavailable. With Steve Piercy also missing with an ear injury, a late decision will be taken on the position. However, there are one or two young players itching for a run and one of them could well get the nod. David Cooke is still injured and Chris Robson continues at flanker.

Forward John Cooksey could make his first appearance for York RI in about a year since suffering a muscle tear.

He's in line to play a part in RI's final Yorkshire Three home game of the season against Leeds Corinthians.

However, RI will be without No 8 Nathan Ashman (ankle), prop Simon Joll (neck) and full-back Graham Allott (shoulder). John Alexander will switch to the back row with James Adamson appearing at openside flanker.

Pocklington travel to Leeds for their penultimate game in Yorkshire Three at Roundhegians, who led the table for the first third of the season, but then fell away and were beaten 29-6 at Percy Road in December.

That was Pocklington's first win in a run of ten consecutive league victories that has taken them into pole position.

Pocklington's concern is that they have not had a competitive game for three weeks, and while they name a virtually full-strength squad of 19, it contains five forwards who are carrying injuries and who will be subject to fitness tests.

The Roundhegians game is also the Pocklington vice-presidents' final away day of the season, with the bus leaving Percy Road at noon.

Pocklington's mini and junior sections kick off their home games early at 10am on Sunday in order to get Percy Road ready for hosting the Yorkshire Under-14 finals later in the day at 1pm.

In the Yorkshire Cup final, Malton and Norton face Hull Ionians, while at the same time York play Roundhegians in the Yorkshire Plate final.

Two Pocklington junior sides are on their travels, with Pocklington U16s on tour to Gloucestershire and Pocklington U15s jetting out to northern Italy for the weekend.

York entertain West Hartlepool in North East Two.

Report and pictures of York's Youth Festival will appear in tomorrow's Evening Press.
