Johnny Murtagh may require directions to get to Beverley tomorrow, but the dual-Derby winning jockey should not leave the course empty-handed.

Murtagh, a former top rider in Ireland, is now working out of Newmarket as stable-jockey to David Loder, with the result that we are seeing more and more of him across Britain.

Tomorrow, this world-class pilot is fancied to lift Beverley's feature race, the £14,000 Jaguar Handicap, on the Loder-trained Wistman, owned by Sheikh Mohammed.

A well-bred colt, Wistman overcame a poor draw on his debut at Folkestone to win a maiden race by the skin of his teeth from the favourite Rangoon.

That achievement does not amount to much but Wistman is open to improvement and it would come as no surprise to see him being equal to tomorrow's task.

Murtagh and Loder can also land the Go Racing In Yorkshire Season Ticket Maiden Stakes with Serengeti Sky. Although well beaten on his debut at Pontefract, Serengeti Sky must have shown plenty at home beforehand given he started as odds-on favourite. He deserves another chance.

The promising Cesare, trained by James Fanshawe, can provide Murtagh with another winner in the Constant Security Maiden Stakes.

Also worth noting at Beverley is Time To Relax in the Birthday Celebration Handicap. A gutsy photo-finish winner at Bath on her latest outing, she is open to further improvement over tomorrow's extra two furlongs. Darren Williams has the mount.

Graham Lee, on a high after completing the Aintree-Scottish Grand National double on Amberleigh House and Grey Abbey, can play a starring role on day two of Perth's valuable three-day festival.

Lee teams up with Flownaway in the Betdaq Betting Exchange Novices' Hurdle and the Howard Johnson-trained gelding is napped to prevail.

A useful stayer on the Flat last year, this exciting prospect was a facile winner at Carlisle last time, having previously fallen with a race at his mercy at Musselburgh.
