I READ with astonishment that the GMB union is vowing to fight on behalf of the "Nestl Three", sacked for defacing thousands of chocolate wrappers (April 21).
Who do these people think they are? Do they really think they have a right to act foolishly - costing the company thousands of pounds and causing considerable embarrassment - and not take responsibility for their actions?
I'm certainly not anti-union, but people do need to accept some responsibility for their own actions. If I did anything that stupid at work, I'd expect to be sacked and would be embarrassed to have a union fighting my dismissal.
