Things at Tadcaster Albion are not as bad as they seem according to members of the committee.
Current chairman, treasurer and first-team manager Wayne Day resigned his positions in February and, until last week, news of replacements were not forthcoming.
But things have been progressing behind the scenes and an announcement is imminent.
Committee member and fundraiser Kevin Derry said: "We have a new chairman who will hopefully be put in place at the annual meeting, we have got a treasurer sorted, Howard Clarke is continuing as secretary and we have had a great deal of interest in the job of first-team manager but we didn't want to make any announcements until it was all solid.
"We could still do with one or two new faces, like someone to do the programme, for example, but considering at one point we looked like we were going to start the new season with just three members on the committee, things are definitely looking up.
"There is certainly a light at the end of the tunnel - and it isn't a train coming in the other direction."
It is hoped that most of the roles will be confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting at the club on Sunday, starting at 7.30pm, to which anyone interested in getting involved is invited to go along.
