I READ with great interest the letter by A Brown (Evening Press, April 20) which expressed disgust at comments by certain so-called Knights 'supporters'.

What are we to conclude from the shout directed at one player to 'get back to Featherstone' for example?

Presumably that Featherstone are now so poor that almost anyone could beat them?

As a Rovers fan I certainly couldn't vehemently contest the point at the moment, but I am amazed that any follower of the Knights should so wish to downgrade those victories over my club this season.

However, whichever player it is - yes we will take him back (plus others who made the close season switch) along with your coach Richard Agar, a Featherstone lad, whose skilful and imaginative coaching has played such a large part in the Knights successes.

If you are a true fan you have to accept the rough with the smooth, whether that be defeat after defeat by the Knights or a home loss to Hunslet.

True fans give credit to the opposition and do not jeer and catcall at their own players, or, worse resort to racial chanting.

As an away fan I have found York a friendly and family-orientated club. I sincerely hope that it remains so.
