I WAS disappointed with City's defeat against Yeovil - and the performance of some players - but it annoys me that Chris Brass gets all the flak.

He plays his heart out on the field and manages the team with the best resources he has available.

He can't be held responsible for the attitude of every player on the pitch. There's only so much he can do, the rest is down to the individual.

Maybe playing and managing are taking their toll but I'd like to see some of the 'supporters' giving as much as he gives. Unfortunately I think some of them will damn him for whatever he does.

I know football fans are a fickle bunch but I couldn't believe the way some of them changed against Yeovil.

They couldn't even be bothered to applaud their team off the pitch at the end of the match. The lads certainly deserved that at least.

Maybe they felt justified but the silent treatment is basically kicking them when they're down and I can't see that sort of attitude improving anyone's confidence.

Come on folks give the lads your support whatever the position and above all give Chris Brass a break.

Miss S I Dale,

Fairfax Croft,

Copmanthorpe.
