Guy Mitchell Cup holders Drax perished at British Sugar in their division one opener.
The hosts took first knock and dribbled along to 72 all out - Richard Ounsley 3-12 and Paul Smith 3-13 doing the damage.
Unfortunately the Drax reply faltered alarmingly against Wayne Bellerby (4-16) and Andy Heaton (3-19) and fell 27 runs short for the hosts to succeed.
