JOHN Thornton's exhibition, Along The Cleveland Way, will run at Kentmere House Gallery, Scarcroft Hill, York, from May 1 to June 24.
Ann Petherick's gallery will be open on the weekends of May 1 and 2 and June 5 and 6 and every Thursday evening from 6pm to 9pm, plus any other time by arrangement on 01904 656507.
"John Thornton is a Yorkshire-based artist whose talents are now being recognised further afield," says Ann. "His regular walks along the Yorkshire coast provide endless source material for painting, and he is particularly fascinated by the play of light on the sea at different times of day."
Thornton's work will be on sale at £350 to £1,000.
