STAFF and students from St Peter's School in York took part in a ten-mile walk to remember a former teacher who lost a battle with cancer.
Peter Taylor, who died in February, dedicated more than 25 years of his life to the school and was head of classics and Latin.
More than 600 people took part in the walk at RAF Linton-on-Ouse, to raise cash for the haematology unit at York Hospital where Mr Taylor was treated.
Simon Marriott, deputy headmaster, said: "The school wished to acknowledge Peter Taylor's considerable contribution over 25 years by walking in his memory."
