THIS incredible picture was captured by Evening Press photographer Frank Dwyer exactly ten years after the Westow ground became the centre of the nation's attention when it was surrounded by the bright yellow crop on three sides.
Ten years on and the patchwork imagery has been completed with a fourth field now sown to completely surround the ground for the first time since 1994.
But the amazing aesthetic scene could prove more of a nightmare than a dream to visiting hay fever sufferers.
Villager Julie Price said: "Players from opposing sides who suffer from hay fever or allergies are advised to come prepared.
"At home matches on a warm day for the next few weeks, Westow will have a 12th man, the oil seed rape."
The advantage failed to pay off on Saturday, though, as Westow lost by four wickets to Askham Bryan in the HPH York Vale League.
