Dunnington sit top after Alan Jackson's men earned a 38-run win over Hovingham despite being dismissed for 106.

Paul Olivier 30 and Gary Andrew 24 contributed half their side's runs as Mike Hemmingway became the first bowler to pass the 20-wicket mark. The Hovingham striker came within a whisker of a record-equalling third eight-wicket haul in the division five season when he followed his two eight-fors with 7-55.

Hemmingway made 33 but Olivier's 6-20, coupled with 3 -24 from ex-Stamford Bridge player Greg Haynes, had Hovingham all out for 68.

A ten-man Bolton Percy side were hustled out for only 73 despite an unbeaten 52 from Bill Preacher as Simon Hall with 5-23 and Nigel Bartram 2-16 bowled Cawood into a winning position.

Henry Houseman hit back with 3-30 but Andy Cliff, who made 40, ensured a five-wicket win for Cawood.

Huntington fared marginally better when they were all out for 77 when entertaining Tadcaster Magnet.

Richard Shaw was the only home batsman to prosper, making 29 as his fellow players struggled against Russell Madin 3-14 and Billy Young 4-12.

Ian Dawson ensured a five-wicket away win by making 30 but the eye-catching performance came from 14-year-old Tom Shaw who claimed 3-10 on ins York Senior League debut.

York's woes continued when they suffered their third successive defeat by being bowled out in the second innings by Stamford Bridge.

Bridge posted 150-9 thanks to Martin Veysey's 39, supplemented by 34 from Ian Fraser and 24 from Shaun Veysey. Simon Hall, who topped the division six bowling averages in 2003 took 4-48.

After the break Steven Jones made 27 and Kevin Mendham 24 but Shaun Veysey ruled with 6-37 to earn Stamford's first win of the season.
