I WAS present at the opening of the musical Whistle Down The Wind, together with my wife and some friends.

We were there for an evening's entertainment, which we got in very good measure.

Having read the pseudo-intellectual claptrap written by Charles Hutchinson, I wonder what he expected (Review, May 11)?

I bet no one in the audience went for a lecture on North American history, religious or otherwise.

I have no connection with this production, but urge your readers to enjoy the entertainment and not to be put off by a rather naive, pretentious reviewer.
