I MUST be living in a different world to York City player-manager Chris Brass.

His said: "I want to bring my own players in for the coming season". Let's remind ourselves of the main players of the team and background.

Ovendale (Brass signing), Porter (Brass signing), Edmondson (Brass' choice as captain), Merris (Brass signing), Leigh Wood (through the ranks), Hope (Brass signing), Brass (say no more), Cooper (already under contract), Ward (Brass signing), George (Brass signing), Nogan (Brass' choice as assistant manager), Smith (already at club) and Wiford (Brass signing).

He selected a multitude of strikers from Dove, Shaw to Offiong and many others. Looking down the list the majority appear to be selections of Chris Brass.

Why should we be any more confident that his selections for next season will be any better?

I appeal now to the board and the Supporters' Trust to make the chop now before he drags us any further down the football ladder.

It might prove costly but the directors made the decision far too early to give him an extended contract.

Steve Beck you are the chairman - stand up and admit that you have made a bad decision and get rid of Brass.
