I HAD not realised that Roy Templeman, York's chief planner, had arrived at York from Coventry. (Man who planned to change York, May 21).
That explains a lot.
Although it will have been erected before his time there, York should think itself lucky that no one has tried to emulate Coventry's notoriously stark ring-road within sight of the Minster.
