YORK City's footballer of the year, Darren Dunning made his first appearance of the season for Sheriff Hutton Bridge and his all round performance helped his side record their first division four win at the expense of Osbaldwick.

Simon Hall made 47 but Dunning took 4-31 as he and Dave Ellis 3-30 combined to dismiss the home side for 144. The same pair were then to the forefront after the tea break with Dunning hitting 70 and Ellis making an unbeaten 30 in the Bridge's six-wicket victory.

Hornsea's hopes of heading the division were scuppered when they could only draw after bowling out Easingwold for 200.

Greg Saunders was again in good form for the Hambleton side, making 66 while Tom Langstaff weighed in with 55. Mike Harah claimed 5-24 for Hornsea who then mounted a good response via Jonathon Bickerdike who hit 70, Joe Frazer 34 and Jason Hickey 31.

After their departure, 14-year-old Ben Wallis made 23no to see Hornsea to a draw at 180-8. However the dominant force in the second half of the game was Easingwold's Alan Robinson whose 7-76 bowled his side to the verge of victory.

Selby overwhelmed bottom club Pocklington when they won at a canter by nine wickets.

Mark Croft made 50 but his Pocklington team mates struggled against paceman Paul Wadsworth who took 5-20 in a total of 147-9. Ian Lake then blasted his way to 83 before falling at 126 leaving his opening partner Matthew Hoyle to complete the nine-wicket win with an unbeaten 49.

Sheriff Hutton were also nine-wicket winners when they successfully chased an even bigger target set by Whitkirk whose Phil Cooper made 66 and Steve Pickles 43 in their total of 180-5. Sheriff suffered a sole early loss before Craig Dodsworth 94no combined with Ed Taylor 78no to knock off the required runs.
