I HAVE been reading in the Evening Press lately of the poor service from the Royal Mail and just thought I would let you know the other side of the story.
I sent two small packets to Toronto, Canada, on Monday May 24. One was posted at 9.51am and the other at 2.13pm, both at Gale Lane Post Office, Acomb.
I was surprised to get a phone call from my grandson on Saturday, May 28 to say both packets had been delivered the day before.
How's that for service?
