Where can you go once you've played Glastonbury? Only York. Fibbers will be playing host to kings of LA acid-rock, Arthur Lee and Love, on Monday following their appearance at the Somerset festival.

Forming in 1965, Lee's band pioneered some of the most seminal and fresh acoustic, punk-tinged psychedelia throughout the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties. Monday represents a rare opportunity to see this experimental and creative act in such an intimate setting.

As you would expect with such a big name starring at the cosy York venue, tickets sold out weeks ago. Such is the demand of an artist name checked by greats including Robert Plant, Syd Barrett and Primal Scream.

Love's tour is supporting their last record release, The Forever Changes Concert, a 2003 live reworking of the entire 1968 magnum opus, Forever Changes, which shows Lee to be a revitalised and powerful performer, reinvigorating this classic album.

Those lucky enough to have already secured their tickets will have the added bonus of Love's support act: local boy turned... well, still local, Chris Helme.

Having supported Love on a previous tour with his band The Yards, Helme will be performing a solo acoustic set.

With vocals that show more than a couple of Jeff Buckley borrowings and a confident guitar style, some may say that the £16.50 ticket price is worth it to see Helme alone.

However, with the headliners on fine form, a night of psychedelic abandon should be guaranteed. Love-Lee.

Doors open at 7.30pm; tickets are sold out.
