THE scare tactics used by so-called Friends Of The Earth to perpetuate their myth on global warming has descended to new depths.

To pretend a fantasy film, The Day After Tomorrow, is reality is not only foolish but dangerous.

Millions of poor people's lives could be transformed with the billions of pounds being wasted because of dubious science.

During a 20 year period at the end of the last century, according to the most sophisticated measuring equipment, air temperatures cooled by half a degree.

All the pollutants put into the atmosphere by the UK burning fossil fuels during the entire 20th century are only equivalent to one volcano, Tambora, which erupted in the 1840s, and there are about 1,500 active volcanoes in the world today.

Even if the car had never been invented man's effect on global warming would be negligible.

Many cushy, well-paid jobs depend on this myth and governments love it because it gives them the chance to dream up more ways of taxing us.

A far bigger threat to life on earth is the eruption of a "super volcano" which could block out the life-giving sun and send the earth into a long and disastrous winter wiping out life.
