Graze On, trained by John Quinn, can clinch the feature race at Beverley tomorrow after receiving a timely boost to his form at Newcastle last night.

The promising juvenile, who broke his maiden on only his second start at Pontefract earlier this month, beat Sentiero Rosso by a length on that occasion, leaving the impression that there was much more to come from him.

Sentiero Rosso duly paid his conqueror a timely compliment last night when going one better in the maiden race and, according to his trainer Brian Ellison, earning himself a likely tilt at the Champion Two-year-Old Trophy at Ripon on Monday.

In the meantime, Graze On has the £15,000 Britannia Rescue Nursery as his target tomorrow. With Robert Winston again in the saddle, he is napped to follow-up his Pontefract victory.

Neville Bycroft had the first double of his training career on this course last month and the Norton handler has good prospects of achieving an encore tomorrow.

Bycroft saddles the consistent Tedstale Mac in the Nigel Briggs 50th Birthday Handicap, and also the likewise in-form Shotley Dancer in the Jim And Mary Richardson Ruby Anniversary Fillies' Handicap. Both should go well under Francis Norton.

Tim Easterby runs his promising filly Tcherina in the Joan Graves Birthday Celebration Maiden Stakes and Dave Allan's mount is expected to relish every yard of this extended mile.

At Goodwood, Kieren Fallon will be out to boost his championshipship hopes throughout the day.

The reigning title-holder has a bunch of good rides, including Luas Line in the featured £40,000 Citreon C5 Prestige Stakes.

Trained in Ireland by David Wachman, and a stablemate of high-class juvenile Damson, Luas Line has some useful form to her credit and it is significant that her talented trainer is sending her so far in seach of this Group 3 prize.

Fallon can also hit the target on the promising Stargem (2-10), the potentially smart Enrapture (2-45) and recent winner Flying Adored (3-55), who represents local trainer John Dunlop.

At Yarmouth, Malton trainer Richard Fahey has good prospects of making a successful raid.

Fahey is sending out winners all over at present and he has sent a trio of runners to Yarmouth, all with solid chances.

Catterick winner Pertemps Magus goes for the Let's Talk Fillies' Handicap, the hat-trick seeking sprinter White Ledger lines-up for the £15,000 John Smith's Extra Smooth Handicap, and Opening Ceremony, also twice a winner this summer, bids to make it three in the Great Yarmouth Mercury Classified Stakes. All three merit attention in the hands of Paul Hanagan.
