OLD Malton won their York Leeper Hare Football League premier division derby when they won 1-0 at neighbours Malton Bacon Factory - an identical scoreline to last season.

The only goal came from Heath Brown 15 minutes from time with a 20-yard drive.

Honours finished even in the first Selby derby of the term as visitors Thorpe managed to cancel out T & L's lead three times, their final equaliser from John Matthews hit with less than a minute to go.

Dave Reasbeck gave T&L an early lead only for Dean Woods to equalise seven minutes later. Brendan Langhan restored T & L's advantage but Thorpe's Gavin Clamp made it 2-2.

Adam Durnin looked like he had hit the winner for T & L with ten minutes left but Matthews struck deep into injury-time.

Huntington Rovers surrendered the last 100 per cent record in the premier division when they lost 2-1 to Bishopthorpe.

They paid for poor finishing early on and fell behind to a Craig Fitzmaurice penalty. The lead was doubled when a Huntington defender's headed pass back to his 'keeper saw the ball hit the bar and fall to Dave Kettlewell who scored from close range. Nick Fenton hit a top corner screamer to reduce the deficit.

Copmanthorpe suffered their fourth successive away defeat of the season when they were beaten 2-1 at Wigginton Grasshoppers. Ben Coates, who has scored in every game this campaign, gave Grasshoppers the lead. Terry Hibbett fired in the equaliser but with just three minutes left James Vine scored a controversial winner which saw a flurry of red cards handed out to Copmanthorpe.

Kartiers thumped Dunnington 5-1 despite missing a penalty. Glen Littlewood opened the scoring and Chris Hall's lob made it 2-0. The unlucky Chris Burgess - his recent hat-trick is now expunged following the withdrawal of Osbaldwick - pulled one back for Dunnington.

The introduction of Woodhall at the start of the second half brought immediate results for Kartiers as he was instrumental in setting up two quick goals for Andy Richardson and Dale Huntington, who scored his second goal near the end.
