Don't be fooled by the name - this New York band's sound couldn't be any further removed from their BBC equivalent.
Punk values married with dub basslines, funky guitar riffs and pounding percussion make for a sound that is, unusually, danceable and lyrically impressive. As you would expect from Radio 4, the album is full of upbeat, catchy tracks - Party Crashers, No Reaction and (Give Me All Your) Money to name three.
The whole sound is noticeably slicker and more dance-influenced than its rough and ready predecessor, Gotham!, under the influence of Primal Scream producer Max Heyes, perhaps?
There are a few surprises too. Nation is an unexpected half-time, dub-heavy lament on the crisis facing American society, while new single Absolute Affirmation offers light relief from the weighty subjects favoured by vocalist Anthony Roman. Highly recommended.
