WHAT M Bowker says in his letter is absolutely right (August 30). Everything in this country is going drastically wrong.
However, it is no use wringing our hands and asking what we can do about it - we have the remedy. The people now in power are not autocratic gods visited on us from above. They are mortal beings and some of us voted them into power. I didn't.
If M Bowker is unhappy, when the General Election comes he knows what to do. Vote them out!
He may wish to consider giving his vote to the Socialist Labour Party, the only real alternative to New Labour.
