LAST week I spent a very pleasant afternoon at St Ives in Huntingdonshire where you can park in the town streets free for up to one hour.
The town car parks are 70p for 24 hours, yes, 24 hours.
I don't expect City of York Council to do the same but they most certainly have to adjust their present charges before it is too late for local businesses.
