Councillor Ann Reid has found yet another stick with which to beat York motorists.
Another lorry became stuck under Walmgate Bar so she deems it necessary to bar all traffic (August 30).
I don't recall ever reading about a car being involved in any of these incidents, so why does Coun Reid insist all vehicles be prevented from using this route?
The answer should be that goods vehicles only are barred, thus preventing the obvious problems that a total ban would involve.
