YORK City's directors have simply got to act and quickly, before we are staring relegation in the face.

Having watched City at both Aldershot and Gravesend & Northfleet along with the media reports of the Hereford and Tamworth games it is clear that the club are heading in the wrong direction.

After four games it is clear that City could well be looking at a bottom four or six placing and the disastrous consequences that would have on the club.

Many people thought last season that Chris Brass was lucky to survive the stay of execution on his managerial career, but the way the playing side is going it unfortunately seems inevitable that the axe will follow.

I don't doubt Brass's 100 per cent commitment and enthusiasm for the team or his honesty in defeat but this simply isn't transferring its self to the rest of the team either this season or last season.

Paul Crichton could not be blamed for any of the goals in the display at Gravesend, but his lack of professionalism in dealing with the criticism is infectious of how City's players are treating the club.

I would like to see Crichton stay and given another chance, an apology to the travelling support would be the right example. I do not think Chris Porter is reliable enough to be number one between the sticks.
