THE death of actor Peter Woodthorpe will stir many memories of him for many people.
If ever anyone were destined to become an actor, it was him.
His commanding voice brings back memories to me of Archbishop Holgate Grammar School in Lord Mayor's Walk.
However, the photograph on the right shows him in an entirely different aspect (back row last one on the right - standing next to the late Alan Walker who went on to become headmaster).

I THOUGHT this photo may be of interest. It was taken during the war when my friends and I did concerts for War Weapons Week and Spitfire Week.
The person knelt down on the left at the front is the late Peter Woodthorpe.
