Tribute act Ky-lee got into the groove on York railway station's Platform 3 today, midway through her locomotive trip up the East Coast Main Line.
The London-based performer was doing The Locomotion on every major platform en route - York, Darlington and ending up in Newcastle - to signal the countdown to the official launch of Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon, County Durham, on Friday, October 29.
The £11million sister museum to York's own National Railway Museum is expected to draw 60,000 visitors a year after it opens to the public on September 25.
Major attractions at the County Durham museum will include visits from Flying Scotsman and other iconic railway vehicles.
Ky-lee, alias Claire Renvoize, was joined on her dancing tour by the Choo-Choos, a troupe of six performing arts students. The group, consisting of five female dancers and one male dancer aged from 16 to 27, are all from Arc, in Stockton-on-Tees.
