Frankie Dettori, who stole the show at Doncaster yesterday when clinching a sparkling four-timer, goes for quality rather than quantity on Town Moor tomorrow.

The charismatic jockey, only four winners adrift of Kieren Fallon in the title race, teams-up with Nap selection Oude in the SGB Champagne Stakes and is fancied to lift this Group 2 showpiece at the main expense of Middleham star Elliots World.

At York last month, the two horses were seperated only by inches, with Elliots World taking the honours. But Oude failed to get the run of the race that day, being halted in his progress, which allowed the winner to gain first run on him.

There should be precious little to choose between the pair again tomorrow, but Oude, trained by Saeed Bin Suroor, is fancied to take his revenge on Elliots World, whose trainer Mark Johnston won this prestigious race 12 months ago with Lucky Story.

Oude is a son of Dubai Destination, winner of this race a few years ago before developing his brilliant career. Tragically, Dubai Destination had only one season as a stallion at stud before fatally contracting grass sickness.

Tomorrow's Doncaster card opens with the £40,000 DBS St Leger Yearling Stakes, a compensation race for horses which failed to make the cut in yesterday's £200,000 race sponsored by Doncaster Bloodstock Sales for those horses bought at auction a year ago as yearlings at the nearby complex.

A high draw proved crucial over sprint distances yesterday, which signals the chances of Dancing Rose, who is coming out of stall 20 in this 22-strong race.

A maiden race winner at Bath on her latest outing, Clive Cox's filly is open to further improvement.

Lost Soldier Three looks the one to be on in the totepool Mallard Handicap over the St Leger distance of one and threequarter miles.

An unlucky loser at Newbury two outings ago, Lost Soldier Three made amends in grand style at York's Ebor Festival.

The ground tomorrow will be much quicker than the quagmire conditions on Knavesmire last month, but Lost Soldier Three, trained by Luca Cumani, looks pretty versatile ground-wise.
