Heworth put Woodhouse Grange into bat in their HPH League division three encounter and watched them generate 141-7.

Ed Smith top scored with 61. However, after a spate of four run outs, Mal Caddie (39) and Paul Flint (35) guided Heworth to victory by two wickets.

Malton and Old Malton racked up the runs against Askham Bryan YPO.

Matthew Tilsley was dropped first ball and went on to score 106no. James Dawson added 61 and Simon Benson 47. Askham were tired out after leather chasing and decided that a score of 113 was enough in defeat.

York import Terry Rose hit 123 against Clifton Alliance. Matt Boyle helped the score along to 259-4. Mark Jackson replied with 62 for Clifton but this was not enough as John Sharpe took 3-32 to bowl out Clifton for 166.

Wistow were skittled out for 120 against neighbours Drax with Tony Hammond taking 6-38. John Pennistone then carried his bat for 65no to see Drax win by five wickets.

University of York Staff thrashed Thorpe Willoughby by six wickets. Mark Dushieko (6-25) and Rich Waites (3-8) bowled out Thorpe for 61.

DIVISION five winners Ovington had youngster Craig Nicoll (71) to thank for reaching 175 all out against Selby, whose Tom Smith took 6-30.

Karl Walker followed with 3-20 in sending Selby crashing to 97 all out.

Kevin Dent took 6-25 for Wheldrake as Stockton and Hopgrove were shot out for 75. Wheldrake won by seven wickets.

Copmanthorpe scored 127-8 against Sheriff Hutton with Malcolm Beetham's 30 the top score. But Sheriff could not end the season with a victory as James Traves (4-15) and Ben Beetham (5-46) bowled them out for 93.
