I VISITED Northumberland with a friend at the weekend and found it much cheaper than my home town - you could buy a pot of tea for the price of a cup of tea in York!
So I tell visitors thinking of coming to York - don't!
Go to Alnwick instead, it only costs £1.80 to park all day, and it is free in the evening.
