IT is worth clarifying that the traffic management system piloted at last month's Ebor race meeting was a one-off trial in preparation for Royal Ascot at York next year.
Contrary to what was stated in a report in the Evening Press (Traffic scheme halted, September 1), it was never going to be an on-going trial and was tested for the Ebor meeting only.
Some aspects of the trial were very successful and others will be reviewed before Royal Ascot at York in 2005.
